The regeneration of thoughts take an artist into a zone-like state which can be a good deal of healing time. When an artist can think about a situation sometimes they can work thru the anxiety which presents itself.
Many artists communicate through their work. The freedom to express there creativity is their way of being heard. It can validate their existence in society. This validation can be healing. On the reverse, a creative can be devastated by negativity toward their work.
Many artists feel the freedom to have their own esthetic barometer. In Art, there are few restrictions on an artist unless in a class or if they have accepted a commissioned opportunity. The healing can be a mixture of joy and a rebel's mindset. The artist is doing their work for themselves. Art is a sort of self-medication.
