TEA DANCE EXHIBITION

A Tea Dance is a summertime Sunday function inspired by the English countryside afternoon tea tradition. From the 1950's to current times the Tea Dance has been adopted by the queer community as a cultural alternative to a meeting. In the early years the LGBTQ+ community needed a way to guise their own get-togethers otherwise such events would have been illegal. This exhibition celebrates and embraces the opportunity to showcase Designers and Artists.
